Atom Limbs uses AI-driven, neurally controlled prosthetics to transform limb restoration, bridging advanced hardware, clinical innovation, and potential nerve-interface implants.
Atom Limbs
Atom Limbs is on a mission to revolutionize prosthetics. There are more than 65M people in the world — including 4M in the United States — who live without a limb. 1.5M people undergo amputation every single year. By 2050, instances of limb loss are projected to double. Yet only 5% of people with limb loss have access to prosthetics, many of which still rely on technology like hooks that are over a century old. Atom Limb’s first and flagship prototype, the Atom Touch, is the world’s first artificial human arm. It’s a groundbreaking, non-invasively neurally-controlled robotic system that emulates a near-full range of human motion and provides users with basic touch feedback.
Founder and CEO Tyler Hayes built a world class team around him, all former leaders at Apple, Oculus, Zoox, IDEO, and Neuralink, who collectively hold over 1,000 patents.
Tyler cofounded second-generation Bebo with Shaan Puri and Furqan Rydhan (acquired by Amazon), created hit esports and Twitch streaming products, and led Product at Disqus (YC S07, acquired by Zeta Global).
