Flai is building AI assistants for automotive dealerships that answer calls 24/7, scheduling test drives, oil changes, or running outbound recall campaigns so no opportunity slips away.
Flai
Flai is building the central source communication for automotive dealerships, starting with a simple AI assistant that answers every dealership call. Dealerships are voice-heavy and reliant on service centers with many complex components (IVR trees, VIN handling, repair orders, recording requirements, etc.), and communication today is fragmented across different vendors.
The dynamic among the three cofounders is one of the strongest we’ve seen. Ari was the first engineer at HappyRobot, and Alen built infrastructure at Uber. Juan is highly disciplined and balances Ari and Alen well. Together, they’ve been flying to different cities and selling door-to-door. They’re already piloting with some of the largest dealership groups in the U.S., and their customers have churned from other voice AI providers because Flai’s product is so clearly superior.
Founders
Ari was the second engineer at HappyRobot (leading voice AI company), where he built the product for their voice agents. He previously worked for 3 years as an ML engineer at AppFolio and holds a Master’s in Computer Science from Georgia Tech.
Alen was one of the fastest engineers to be promoted to L5 at Uber. He built Uber’s financial attribution system, a large-scale graph platform with millions of nodes, and was part of the small team responsible for restoring service if Uber’s servers went down.
Juan was a data scientist at Netflix. He is one of the most disciplined people we know, a trait that now serves him well in leading operations at Flai. He holds a Master’s in Computer Science from Dartmouth.
